Unless I'm misreading the two schemes, this is shaping up to be the battle between the two really favorable SF systems currently being floated here.
Not really - these systems can both be profitably traded depending on the time held and trigger criteria. The TVIX system often has a adverse drawdown of up to 10% or so before correcting and being in the black (it sticks to a 10 day hold time). Other systems can make money betting the other direction of they are quick.

Fair enough, I agree that both systems have the ability to be profitable (and have proven as such over time).

Long XIV, short TVIX.
There will be no major bounce in VIX until XIV goes over 50.10

Looks like the short TVIX call is right first - TVIX down another 7% in premarket.

Thank goodness that's the signal I chose to follow by going long XIV at $41.50 on December 2.

Xiv will clear 50.10, then Spy will fall to 182. This is the range.

Just got the signal to close out the current TVIX short position at the open tomorrow. It is currently up 13.77% (I missed this trade waiting for TVIX to hit $12.75, which it didn't do - my bad).

Is this a different SS signal you are using, Kevin? Or is it the SF ETF short filter or something else?
